Global IT Strategy
With one of our largest customers, a worldwide leading supplier of plants, equipment and services for hydropower plants, the pulp and paper industry, the metal processing industry and the steel industry as well as the municipal and industrial solid/liquid separation, we were able to carry out several projects in 2017.
As part of the restructuring of the global IT department, the CDO was supported in defining a global IT strategy. The main focus was on the development of strategic objectives, including mission, vision and values, guidelines for leadership & organization, and alignment of portfolio & business model including recommendations for roll-out.
The result was a strategy document and a roadmap for implementation for 18 months. A resulting project relates to the calculation of the value of IT projects in order to evaluate and prioritize incoming project inquiries from the business environment. The methodology developed by MARKTGUT for calculating potential will be combined with the existing scoring procedure and anchored company-wide.
