Journey to margin
A long-planned project of a family-owned company, which as a manufacturer of components and products is mainly active in the white goods market, was initiated with our help in the summer of 2017.
The aim of the project is to map transparent margin developments over the entire product life cycle in development and customer projects. First, an analysis phase was carried out in which the organisation, process flows, systems and responsibilities were examined in detail on the basis of 3 existing projects. This also included visits to various production sites in Germany, Poland and Spain. The biggest challenges were finally identified in non-uniform processes and in the area of cooperation between the different locations.
The analysis phase was finally concluded with concrete recommendations for action, which were also taken into account in a subsequent solution concept, so that the next project phase could be started seamlessly.
The family business has been developing, producing and supplying high-tech products for washing machines, stoves, tumble dryers and many other household and commercial appliances since 1931.
